1. What BotNotice is

BotNotice ("we", "us") provides software that displays AI-disclosure notices on websites, records when those notices are displayed, generates disclosure documents, and summarizes laws. BotNotice is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Summaries, assessments, scores, generated documents and reports are informational tools based on publicly available sources and your own inputs. You are responsible for your compliance and should consult a qualified attorney about your specific situation.

2. Accounts and acceptable use

You must provide an accurate email address and keep your sign-in links private. You may install the widget only on sites you control. You may not use the service to deceive consumers, to disable or falsify disclosures, or to probe or overload our systems.

3. Plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change prices with 30 days' notice by email.

4. Data and logs

Disclosure logs are retained for the period stated in your plan and then deleted. We store hashed, non-reversible visitor identifiers and never store visitor IP addresses or names. If you delete a site, its logs are deleted immediately.

5. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update the widget, the law database and the service at any time. Law summaries may lag legislative changes; effective dates and penalties can change.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for fines, penalties, damages or legal costs arising from your use of AI or from any law.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Johnson County, Kansas.
